Proud to be Australian Craig's Classic Saab WorkShop (formerly known as Craig's C900 Workshop before September 2005) provides a portal to electronic web-based forums, mailing-lists, etc. for the discussion of any matter relating to Saab 'Classic' V4, 99-series, C900-series and 9000-series automobiles. This website also acts as a disseminator of and sharing resource for data and information via those forums and also via our library of technical data and information (including many links to public-domain technical info on other websites), image galleries and links to other websites which are designed to further assist owners and enthusists of Saab V4-powered automobiles, 99-series automobiles built between 1969 and 1984, Saab C900-series automobiles built between 1979 and 1993, and/or Saab 9000-series automobiles built between 1985 and 1998. Whilst our website is proudly located in Australia, we aim to support Saab V4/99/C900/9000 owners and enthusiasts everywhere regardless of location...

The key purpose of the resources located here at Craig's Classic Saab WorkShop are to help you resolve problems and to allow you to discuss your successes (and failures!) since sharing of skills, experience and information are how we can all learn more about our vehicles. We need to support each other in these endeavours so that you can continue to enjoy your Saab V4's, 99's, C900's and/or 9000's, both from the driving perspective, and from the maintenance/servicing perspective.

Unlike another networked Saab site (based in the USA) which is administered to de-value diversity in the Saab enthusiast community and discourage genuine grass-roots involvement with Saab automobiles from all walks of life (based on the site owner's mission statement), we are the opposite. Without bona-fide grass-roots enthusiasm from Saab V4/99/C900/9000 owners and enthusiasts in all places where V4/99/C900/9000's exist, the 'Classic' Saab enthusiast community can't and won't continue to grow and develop.

We will never ban people from using the resources provided by our website providing that every visitor to our website demonstrates the same level of courtesy and respect to other people that they would expect other people to show to them!

We will never bombard you with annoying banner advertising for any form of commercial and/or pornographic profit-making scam promoted through cash-for-click style money-grabbing websites, or for other things which are irrelevant to the core purpose of our website.

We may show you links or banners promoting things that are directly relevant to this aims of this website and which are of interest to the classic Saab owner/enthusiast community at large, but we will never allow or permit our website to be used for blatant commercial advertising. Our website is not geared around being dependent on commercial advertising and sponsorship for it's long-term survival - that would be completely against the true spirit of the Internet which is for fair and equal sharing of information to everyone who is interested.

We are happy to accept genuine offers of sponsorship and will look at each offer of sponsorship on it's merits. As we are based in Australia, and are looking to offer support primarily to the Saab V4/99/C900/9000 owner/enthusiast community in Australia and New Zealand, any offers of sponsorship emanating from organisations in these two countries will have a higher priority.

Our website is not devoted to pushing quality over quantity (or the other way around) since both need to balance each other out. If we took a high-brow approach to the classic Saab community and started making judgements on moral grounds we would not create much interest except to make people annoyed and go somewhere else to share they're skills and experiences.

The amount of 'quality vs quantity' in any particular thread or discussion in any of the forums or with the material uploaded into the galleries depends entirely on you as as a contributor - we don't set any moral standards which you much follow as we want the site to be open and available to all classic Saab (V4, 99, C900 and 9000!) enthusiasts without shutting our or alienating anyone. Otherwise our website cannot be fair and equitable to as many people as possible.

Our web-based forums are unmoderated and open to all Saab V4/99/C900/9000 owners/enthusiasts worldwide. If you have a Saab website of your own, you are welcome to mention it to other people and share details about it. We will not censure you because you want to promote another Saab enthusiast website (unlike a certain networked Saab website [based in the USA] which is very fussy about other sites containing forums and/or classifieds).
